The publication was a dream that Founder Publisher Marilyn Honeywill (1930 – 2013) turned into a reality in 1988, She and daughter Lynn Honeywill nurtured the family-owned business for 36 years.  Mid-Atlantic Media acquired Pittsburgh Parent and debuted with the November 2024 edition.
