“Why Art” featured at Court House

Gerry Florida, founder of Studio Blue, proudly invites you to stop and visit the “Studio Blue” student exhibition titled  “Why Art” currently at the Allegheny County Family Division Courthouse in Downtown Pittsburgh. This exhibition is brought to you by the residents and staff of Allegheny County Shuman Juvenile Detention Center from October – December 2019.

Gerri says: “I want to thank so many for your encouragement and support over the past years as we developed “Studio Blue” and its satellite location at Construction Junction. It is a welcomed challenge and honor to create programs that empower troubled youth with healthier attitudes as well as positively change community attitudes towards them.

To add to our many accomplishments and awards, Studio Blue will be an honored feature at the Juvenile Justice Week Awards in October.  This exhibition will be part of the recognition and celebration.

I never imagined a simple idea would command the recognition we have received over the last two years as well as the growing support of our Pittsburgh community.

I thank all of you for sharing your spirit and giving me the extra added courage that helped me travel and pave this adventurous path.”

Please stop by to see the exhibition!
