Wesley Family Services Opens New Autism Facility in Monroeville

Wesley Family Services is celebrating the new location of its Monroeville facility.  With 1 in 68 children being diagnosed on the autism spectrum, the opening of Wesley Family Services’ Monroeville facility comes at a time when local families are in need of additional therapeutic support services.

“With the number of children on the autism spectrum continuing to rise, we want to be here to support local families who either navigating through the diagnosis process or are trying to find treatment options,” said Doug Muetzel, CEO at Wesley Family Services. “We firmly believe that where there is help there is hope, and our organization strives to be a beacon of light for individuals in need.”

The Monroeville location will provide Autism related services like:

  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy which is designed to help young children that are struggling with disruptive behaviors;
  • The WonderKids program is designed for children and adults ages 5 to 20 who work on building and enhancing their social and communication skills in a group setting; and
  • The Creative Arts program which provides treatment and therapy by teaching music, dance, movement, drama, and poetry.
