Saint Joseph High School 2021
The strong faith community—with regular celebration of the sacraments, social justice projects, and a well-planned curriculum—gives SJHS students a “higher purpose” for their lives. Students of all faiths, races, and national origins are welcome at SJHS.
Founded in 1915, SJHS has been named a Catholic School of Excellence (formerly known as the Top 50 Catholic High School in the Nation Award) since 2006. SJHS serves students from 2 Catholic Dioceses, 4 counties, 33 parishes, and 20 public school districts! A variety of transportation options – free from 12 school districts and private from many others – make SJHS accessible to families.
With an offering of 58 College in High School credits from Carlow University, Duquesne University, La Roche College, Robert Morris University, Seton Hill University, Saint Vincent College, and University of Pittsburgh, SJHS students have the opportunity to earn over 46 college credits while in high school. This equals more than a full year of college tuition at a fraction of the cost. SJHS students earn an average of 17 college credits prior to graduation. While Saint Joe’s is rich in College in High School courses, students can also take AP exams. The Class of 2020 received scholarships and/or awards totaling nearly $5 million.
