Ribbon cutting at Audubon’s Buffalo Creek Nature Park this Saturday
The media is invited to attend the grand opening of Buffalo Creek Nature Park, Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania’s newest nature park.
What: Buffalo Creek Nature Park is located between Little Buffalo Creek and the Butler Freeport Community Trail. It features the Babcock Nature Center, Audubon Nature Store, Concessions and Restrooms, Nature Play Area, Classroom and Indoor Event Space, Party and Picnic Pavilion, and will offer Classes and Programs.
When: June 12 from 10 am – 5 pm. Ribbon Cutting at 10 am.
Where: Buffalo Creek Nature Park, 154 Monroe Road, Sarver, PA
Major Funding for the nature park was provided by Babcock Charitable Trust, Richard King Mellon Foundation, PA Department of Community and Economic Development, PA Department of Nature Resources, and the Grable Foundation.
After opening day, which features an open house from 10 am – 5 pm, the nature park will be open to the public Thursday – Monday from 9 am – 5 pm. Hours will change seasonally.
