Remind Congress that early learning is no small matter
Early Learning PA coalition partner First Up invited all members of the PA General Assembly to learn about the value of early learning to the community, society, and the economy through No Small Matter, a documentary film that highlights the importance of high-quality early education and its impact on all Americans.
No Small Matter is the first feature documentary to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for good in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years, and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country.
Take action today and email your Senator and Representative to remind them they have until October 6, 2020, to take advantage of First Up’s special screening to watch this important film.
Leverage the film for advocacy
Early care and education professionals who have not had the opportunity to watch the film can do so by joining Trying Together’s online course Early Learning is No Small Matter on October 12, 2020. Following the documentary, attendees will learn how they can leverage the film for advocacy in their programs and communities. Opportunities to bring the film back to their community in support of early learning advocacy also will be shared.
