The late Marilyn Honeywill launched her original Pittsburgh’s Child with her daughter Lynn Honeywill-Norris from the basement of her home and formed Honey Hill Publishing. Pittsburgh’s Child became Pittsburgh Parent in 1998. The 30-year-old family-owned and operated business produces Pittsburgh Parent monthly and publishes Around & About Pittsburgh. In addition, Honey Hill offers www.pittsburghparent.com for online parenting information and presents the virtual Summer Activities & Camp Expo and a virtual Education Expo each year.
The annual PMA Editorial and Design Competition recognizes excellence in journalism, photography and design achieved in parenting publications. The contest entries are judged at the nationally accredited University of Missouri School of Journalism.
