National youth substance use prevention month

October is Prevention Month, a time for the Partnership to support you in your efforts to protect your teen’s health and well-being and respond to the difficulties they may face. Parents are the biggest influence in a teen’s life. Even though you may feel your child pulling away, eager for more independence, deep down they still want you involved.
The Partnership is here to provide information and resources to help you develop skills and strategies needed to keep your teen safe, resilient and healthy.
Visit our NEW Marijuana Resource Center:
As marijuana becomes legalized and more accessible throughout the country, our team has created a marijuana information hub where you can find the following resources:
- Marijuana basics
- Preventing marijuana use
- Protecting and advocating for youth
Watch Adolescents, Cannabis & Mental Health:
The Partnership’s own subject matter experts were joined by experts from Child Mind Institute, Harvard Medical School and Mount Sinai to discuss teens and cannabis use. Listen to the panel discussion here to learn about the latest research in the field, how to recognize risk factors and actions parents can take to ensure health promotion.
