Mammogram Voucher Program

Mammograms are the most effective, widely used screening tool for detecting breast cancer early. The Pittsburgh Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure suggests regular mammograms for women beginning at age 40—earlier if a woman is considered high risk. Detecting cancer in its earliest stages offers patients the greatest chance of survival.

With the help of the Mammogram Voucher Program (MVP), no woman has to go without a mammogram because she is uninsured or underinsured.

Funded by the Komen Pittsburgh Affiliate and administered by Adagio Health, Inc., the MVP provides free mammograms and follow-up diagnostic services to women—and men—who reside in central and western Pennsylvania and do not have insurance or cannot meet insurance co-pays or deductibles.

Services provided include:
·      Diagnostic and screening mammograms
·      Breast sonograms
·      Clinical breast exams
·      Needle aspirations and biopsies
·      Surgical consultation
