For children who love to sing, Pittsburgh Youth Chorus offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to cultivate their talent and improve their music skills!

Founded in 1983, PYC is the region’s leading choral organization dedicated to enriching children’s lives through professional-level choral education and performance. PYC is proud to provide children with a safe, nurturing and stimulating music-learning experience in which they can explore, and grow artistically, intellectually and socially.

PYC choristers are instructed in vocal production as well as ear training, sight-reading,music theory and more. PYC performs with the Pgh Symphony, Pgh Opera and has toured throughout the USA. In 2017, a trip to England is planned.

Auditions for PYC are held in the spring, summer and winter. PYC rehearses weekly at Duquesne University. In 2016, we begin a new satellite program at Grove City College!
