Glade Run Adventures Specialized Adventures Camp
Who is this camp for?
The Specialized Adventures Summer Camp is a two-week social skills development day camp, specially designed for children with moderate to high functioning autism spectrum disorders. However, any child ages 8 to 18 years in need of social skills development is considered.
What will my camper be doing?
Adventures summer campers have access to Glade Run’s scenic 319-acre campus, which includes several gardens and greenhouses, an indoor and outdoor horseback riding arena, therapeutic patio areas, miles of trails and stream exploration, an outdoor classroom amphitheater, indoor kitchen and activity rooms, and gross sensory and motor rooms. Throughout each week, campers can participate in activities such as horseback riding, cooking, gardening, swimming, and crafting while learning new social skills and accomplishing individualized goals. Activities are designed for improving self-esteem, reducing anxiety, improving concentration, managing emotions and behavior and learning group work to accomplish tasks.
2021 Camp Sessions:
June 21 – July 2: Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm
August 2 – 13: Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm
Location: Glade Run Lutheran Services in Zelienople, PA.
Cost: This Specialized Adventures Camp is a private pay day camp. The cost of each 2-week session is $1,200.00. Campers may register to attend more than one session.
This Specialized Adventures Camp is not MA funded and transportation is not provided by Medical Assistance.

This Specialized Adventures Camp is not an Extended School Year (ESY) camp. Individual school districts are under no obligation to approve funding for camp or provide transportation, but may choose to do so if deemed appropriate for students.
