The Regatta at Lake Arthur (August 1 & 2, 2015) will host several unique competitions, including:  2015 PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships, 2015 Puddle Duck Racer World Championship, and 2015 Pennsylvania Standup Paddle Board (SUP) Championship. Whether you like to sail, paddle or throw a disc, we've got something for you!  Read on for registration opportunities and a teaser for 2015 SummersCool.            

2015 Puddle Duck Racer World Championship
August 1 & 2, 2015

What do Oregon, Georgia, British Columbia, Oklahoma, Texas and Pennsylvania have in common? Each hosted a world championship puddle duck race! The ducks are returning to the Regatta, and YOU can join the fun! Not interested in racing? Have a duck that does not meet class rules? You are still welcome to participate in impromptu races, fun and games leading up to the weekend's Championship!  More details regarding programming to follow. All Puddle Duck Racers entering in the championship must first contact shorty@shortypen.com to receive a registered fleet number. Following true puddle duck tradition, each registrant is asked to provide a trophy for selection during the awards ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2015.        REGISTER NOW!

2015 Pennsylvania SUP Championship

Register now for the 2nd Annual Pennsylvania SUP Championship at the Regatta at Lake Arthur! Registration cost is $20, and beginners to experts are welcome. Proceeds will benefit First Waves, supporting education & conservation efforts for under-served youth in the Pittsburgh region. Boards will be provided by SurfSUP Adventures if needed. Want to learn Standup Paddle Boarding, but don't want to race? Stop by the Regatta SummersCool Tent on Saturday, August 1 from 12:00pm-3:00pm for FREE guided instruction. For more details, visit www.lakearthurregatta.org. 

Calling All Eco-Experts, Instructors & Sports Enthusiasts! If you have expertise to offer in a land or water activity, we would love to partner with you at SummersCool. Featured partners will offer FREE guided instruction to Regatta visitors of all ages in: kayak, canoe, fly casting, family fishing, standup paddle board, camping, dragon boating, disc golf, windsurfing and more!
