Phantasmagoria Magic Lantern Show

Nov. 14, 6-7 p.m.

Frick Fine Arts Building | 650 Schenley Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15260

This event, aimed at kids ages 12 and older, is all about the art of the phantasmagoria—the light shows that served as a precursor to modern film. Professional lanternist Brett King will recreate scenes from classic fairy tales and the winter holidays using handcrafted scenes, accompanied by a live jazz piano soundtrack.
