Small Town, Big Story

The Harmony Museum owns many of the town’s historic properties and commemorates the area’s 250+-year history. The museum highlights notable parts of Harmony’s story, including the Lenape Indian settlements that once stood there, George Washington’s travels through the area and the Harmony Society, the town’s namesake and founders. Kids can even bake their own pizza in the museum’s historic oven!

Local Arts

Harmony is home to many local artisans still keeping traditional crafting techniques alive. The Weavers’ Cabin of Harmony is a great place to buy souvenirs and handmade goods, but visitors can also see artisans weave and spin yarn during special demonstrations on the weekends. The shop even hosts classes so children and adults alike can learn these ancient techniques.

If you prefer more modern art, check out Bottlebrush Gallery and Center for the Arts. The gallery, which is housed in a building first erected in 1805, regularly hosts exhibitions of local artists’ work, as well as art classes and in-house concerts.
