Another, more family-friendly, option from the Bricolage Production Company this season comes from the company’s partnership with Enter The Imaginarium (ETI). It aims to bring Pittsburghers an immersive escape room experience that raises the bar for all similar experiences through multi-sensory elements, an immersive storyline and innovative puzzles.

This escape room opened in mid-November and will run indefinitely, with tickets available on entertheimaginariumpgh.com. Participating groups should have between four and 10 people.

The goal of the escape room is to enter and save the mind of a mysterious and tortured man without losing your own in the process. The experience includes immersive sets, themed puzzles, interactive gaming and projection-mapping technology, which turns everyday surfaces into displays for projections.

“We are thrilled to bring The Mind’s Eye to Shaler Plaza and share with Pittsburgh what we believe is our most ambitious escape room yet,” says Jeffrey Carpenter, co-artistic director of Bricolage and co-creator of ETI, in a news release. “When designing escape rooms, our goal is always to create immersive worlds that inspire creativity, teamwork and a sense of adventure. This new room offers a truly unique experience, with layers of storytelling and puzzle design that will surprise and delight our guests.”

The Shaler Plaza facility is located at 880 Butler St., in Pittsburgh. Enter The Imaginarium is open from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 4:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
