The following early learning materials are available to families at no cost.  Individual copies are available by submitting this form to your Local Education and Resource Network (LEARN) Coordinator.  To locate your LEARN Coordinator please visit the PA Promise for Children website www.papromiseforchildren.com. Learning is Everywhere Calendar.  This monthly calendar provides no-cost every day learning activities for families of children age birth to five years.  The activities are aligned to the PA Early Learning Standards.  Available in English and Spanish.

Be Your Child's Champion-1.tif

Be Your Child’s Champion Booklet.  This work book helps families through four parts of communicating on behalf of their child:  My Thoughts, Our Conversation, My Reflections, and Next Steps.  Follow conversations with a child care provider, a medical professional, another family, and discover how to talk about the importance of quality early learning.  Available in English only.

Learning is Everywhere Growth Chart.  Record how tall your child grows and discover fun learning activities to do that relate to growth and measurement!  Available in English only.

Every Day I Learn Through Play! Activity Guide. Activities you can do to help your child learn and develop using daily routines, every day interactions and Play.  This guide provides ideas for learning in many areas of development for children, birth to age 36 months.

Kindergarten, Here I Come! Activity Guide.  This guide has fun ideas you can do with your child to get ready for kindergarten and beyond.  Every month contains four weeks of activities that use simple materials or ideas that can be done at home.  The activities are aligned to the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. These Standards are being used in pre-kindergarten programs across PA.  Available in English and Spanish.


Kindergarten, Here I Am! Activity Guide.  This guide introduces authors and illustrators who have written many books that are fun and interesting for kindergarteners.  There are also activities that are aligned to the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards for Kindergarten. These standards are being used in kindergarten classrooms across PA.   Available in English and Spanish.

Recipe for Readiness Cards.  These cards provide various family-friendly activities that will assist in promoting the skills that Kindergarten teachers are looking for as children enter their classrooms.  Activities are designed for use with children age 3-5 and are aligned to the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood.  One set of cards comes in both English (one side) and Spanish (the other side).

Watch Me Grow Brochure.  A listing of activities for children ages Birth-5 years that are typical for a child’s age.  Available in English, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Khmer-Cambodian, Russian, and Haitian Creole.

PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood Wheel.  A wheel that features developmental milestones of what a child might do by age group.  The milestones are aligned to the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood.

The Southwest Regional Key is a program under the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh and administers the LEARN Grants in Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
