Putting away the holiday decorations means it’s January—time to start planning what your children will do this summer. Luckily for you, it’s also the start of camp fair season, when camp directors annually criss-cross the country to introduce families to their summer programs.
PTC Report: TV shows about families aren’t “Family-Friendly”
The Parents Television Council released a report finding that 99 percent of broadcast television shows about families contain some form of adult content (sex, violence, and profanity).
Healthy School Environments
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and Pittsburgh Public Schools are working together as part of a national program to create a healthier school environment for students. Children’s Hospital will partner with local schools and provide assistance to create environments that promote nutritious eating and physical activity using the country’s largest school-based childhood obesity prevention initiative, the Healthy Schools Program.
