At SEM we believe in standards, but not standardization. Our advanced curriculum is responsive- we do not participate in state testing. Truly independent, secular and non-uniform, college-bound girls and are encouraged to find their best selves while pursuing their interests at SEM.
Research provided by National Coalition of Girls Schools (NCGS) is clear on the benefits of girls’ school: developmentally, academically and in higher education goals and career outcomes, girls’ schools foster leadership and scholarship. Our STEAM curriculum includes a 4-year computer science curriculum and our classroom integrated technology and laptop program allow girls to explore new possibilities for themselves in the science, technology, engineering, art & design, and mathematics fields.
Girls’ school grads are six times more likely to considering majoring in math, science, and technology compared to girls who attend coed schools. Compared to coed peers, girls’ school grads are three times more likely to consider engineering careers. We see the potential and promise of girls.
