ACT ONE Theatre School
(Kindergarten – 12th Grade)
Join ACT ONE SUMMER CAMP as we explore the world of theatre and create memories to last a lifetime!
Filled with the promise of challenging classes, interesting material, sensitive teachers, and lasting friendships ACT ONE SUMMER CAMP offers refreshing relief from the mid-summer doldrums.
Dedicated to training students in all aspects of theatre, ACT ONE has developed a SUMMER CAMP curriculum geared toward training the artist as creator and performer. Under the direction of professional directors, composers, choreographers, actors, and music directors, students will create and perform both original material and the classics.
In addition, high school students interested in pursuing Theatre studies in college will have access to the latest information on various college programs, and, with expert guidance, will choose audition material from a music and monologue library second to none. Their audition technique class will be intensely professional.
At ACT ONE SUMMER CAMP, classes are small, affording students the opportunity for private coaching in Musical Theatre Scene Study, and Acting Scene Study. Electives provide small group study of advanced, professional topics.
On July 5th and 6th, ACT ONE SUMMER CAMP 5th – 12th grade students will perform two different shows highlighting what they have learned. Our younger students will also get the chance to perform! At the end of their 3-week program, our K/1 students will show off their new skills in an Open House/Performance on Thursday, June27th and our 2nd-4th graders will perform an original show with featured roles for every student on Friday, June 28th!
Although the curriculum is demanding, ACT ONE SUMMER CAMP is FUN!! Students work and play together in a wooded, country setting, and everyone shares lunch in a shaded picnic grove. Friendships flourish as students support and encourage the work of others.
