The mission of Honey Hill Publishing is to provide free and relevant regional and national editorial as well as advertising that pertains to parenting, local events and resources for families. We are always in the market for freelance writers who demonstrate a fresh, engaging writing style with a keen sense of our reader’s interest and focus on topics that matter to families.
We operate from an annual Editorial Calendar which is created and assigned in October for the upcoming year. In addition to these assigned articles, we accept editorial queries and submissions which are considered for publication when extra editorial space is generated through advertising sales.
All editorial materials should be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Feature articles should be 950 words or less. We do attempt to respond to all editorial related e-mails but due to the volume we receive this is not always possible. No responsibility is taken for unsolicited manuscripts. Pittsburgh Parent retains the right to edit all submissions.
The Activities and Entertainment Calendar is the heart of Pittsburgh Parent – both the magazine and the website. If you want to have fun with your family in Pittsburgh – check out our calendar. If you have information and/or events for the calendar, submissions can be made to email@example.com at least six weeks in advance or by going to the My Account link at the top of the page and registering to submit listings on our website. We reserve the right to edit and withhold all submissions.
We are always looking for photographs of kids and families. Professional photographers may submit cover and web photographs to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration. We also welcome your photographs of your child – see links to our photo contests and win prizes.
