 Music lovers, prepare for Pittsburgh’s latest in laser show awesomeness. Buhl Planetarium’s inaugural Floyd & Friends Laser Show Marathon on Sat., April 20 will feature your favorite rock, reggae, and electronic music set to stellar laser choreography. Our laser artists will serve up stunning colors against the dome with 3D atmospheric effects and psychedelic imagery, taking you on a magical, musical journey of laser light.

Here’s the show-stopping, toe-tapping lineup:

Laser Bob Marley – 7 pm
Bob Marley shared his message of peace, freedom, and redemption to the world through his reggae music. Enjoy laser light, while listening to favorites like “One Love,” “No Woman No Cry,” and “Could You Be Loved.” This show will be jammin’, mon!

Laser Floyd – The Vision Bell – 8 pm
Experience Pink Floyd in a show as vibrant and diverse as their entire discography. Featuring selections from many of their hit albums, including Wish You Were Here, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, The Wall, and Dark Side of the Moon, The Vision Bell laser show captures the many flavors of Pink Floyd and displays them in a rich and engrossing feast for the eyes and the ears, sure to leave any Floyd fan satisfied!

Laser EDM – 9 pm
Lasers and electronic music – they were made for each other! Lose yourself in the immersive experience of pulsing beats and synchronized lights unique to our planetarium. With artists like Tiesto, Deadmau5, Skrillex, Avicii, and the Chemical Brothers, this live full-dome show will have you singing, “Untz, untz, untz…” all the way home.

Laser Sublime – 10 pm
We don’t practice Santeria, we ain’t got no crystal ball – lasers are what we got! If you’re worried about “Doin’ Time” in the “Jailhouse” because life is heading the “Wrong Way,” you can’t afford to miss this show. We have your “40 Oz to Freedom” in the form of lasers choreographed to Sublime’s best tunes.

Laser Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon – 11 pm
The greatest gig in the planetarium! Enjoy the favorites of Pink Floyd’s classic album Dark Side of the Moon, as laser liquid skies and digital imagery send you on a Floyd experience like you’ve never had before.

Laser Floyd – The Wall – Midnight
Rock’s greatest opera comes to life in lasers. You’ll want to “Run Like Hell” to the grand finale of the Floyd & Friends Laser Show Marathon, as this fan-favorite show takes the band’s surreal storyline and transforms it into a laser world around you.

Each show runs approximately 45 minutes. Tickets are $2 per show for Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh members. For nonmembers, tickets cost $8 for one show and $5 for each additional show.
