Camp Deer Creek
Pittsburgh’s Oldest and Finest Children’s Day Camp
Be a Camper Today!
Our campers have that Deer Creek Spirit deep in their hearts and it is expressed creatively in a wide variety of camp activities:
- Weekly Friday Special Days
- Craft projects
- Weekly Deer Creek Breezes newsletter
- Camper-counselor softball/volleyball games
- Special end of the season all-camp play
That spirit never goes away. Our campers have become counselors and now there are second and even third generations of campers whose parents had their first camping experience here!
The camper’s day begins between 8am & 9am when the bus arrives to pick them up and the day ends when the bus drops the children off between 3:45pm & 4:45pm.
Lunch is included daily. Camp Deer Creek serves a hot lunch prepared in our kitchen.
Activities at Camp Deer Creek include:
- Instructional and Recreational Swim
- Optional Horseback Riding Lessons
- Archery Lessons
- Climbing Wall
- Ropes Course
- Arts and Crafts
- Nature Hikes
- Creek Hikes
- Field Games
- And More
All campers swim twice daily except the Crickets and the Braves (our two youngest groups), whose one swim period is divided between instruction and recreation.
Camp Deer Creek also offers a Residence Week, The Ultimate Deer Creek Experience! From Sunday, August 12 to Saturday, August 18, 2018 for ages 7 – 16. Three meals a day are served along with snacks. The overnight experience includes lots of fun activities plus an end of the week dance.
Camp Deer Creek provides 14 different transportation routes from many Pittsburgh areas including:
