Annual Allegheny County Marbles Program Started on March 11

The Allegheny County Parks Department today announced its annual marbles program will take place March 11-May 15 at 13 locations throughout the county. The program is free for all kids ages 14 and under.

“The Allegheny County Marbles Program is a great way for kids to have fun and make new friends,” said Parks Director Andy Baechle. “We encourage everyone to come out and be a part of this longstanding tradition.”

All local winners will qualify for the Allegheny County Marbles Championship, which will be held May 16-18 in the Family Law Center courtyard. The top eight girls and top eight boys will receive trophies. The top two girls and top two boys will also receive crowns and compete in the 96th Annual National Marbles Championship June 17-21 in Wildwood, N.J.
